Professor of Practice, Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2017

The School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a Professor of Practice position in technological innovation and entrepreneurship. This position is for distinguished, highly experienced individuals who have achieved success in their fields and whose skills and knowledge are essential to the educational process at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities of this position include educating and training students in technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and fostering partnerships between the Penn Engineering community and entrepreneurs and investors in the Greater Philadelphia region to catalyze new ventures and enhance the innovation ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of entrepreneurship as a founder, co-founder or early employee of a technology startup, or experience working with or supporting technology startups. Candidates must also have an exceptional interest in teaching entrepreneurship to undergraduate and graduate students of all engineering and computer science disciplines.
Applications are welcome from all areas of engineering, applied science and computer science. Applicants must have at least a bachelor's degree - though advanced degrees are preferred - in engineering or equivalent. The successful candidate will have an appointment in one of the six academic departments in Penn's School of Engineering and Applied Science (http://www.seas.upenn.edu/). The appointment is for a period of five years, with successive reappointments upon review.
