Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Adult or professional education, educational administration or career development or related field desirable.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Experience in adult education or graduate medical education curriculum development, program administration and planning, and educational evaluation preferred.

Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of instructional program planning and coordination.
- Knowledge of educational hardware and software and social media as an instructional tool.

Position Summary:

The Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics is recruiting for an Instructional Specialist (Associate or no-prefix) to coordinate the education of medical and allied health students, residents, fellows, and practicing clinicians in the field of Geriatrics. The individual in this position will function as the primary education coordinator for the UW-Madison component of the Wisconsin Geriatric Education Center (WGEC), and will assist with the implementation of other geriatric education programs within the UW Division of Geriatrics and the Madison VA Geriatrics Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC). The incumbent will report directly to the Outreach Specialist of the UW-Madison component of the WGEC.
