Job Summary

Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations and supervise the Administrative Assistant II.

Education/Skills Requirements

Required: A high school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Also required: excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including confidence interacting with senior officers of the college, significant donors, and trustees on a daily basis; a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook Calendar and e-mail, and a willingness and ability to learn new software. Also required is the ability to be organized and detail-oriented, the ability to multitask and prioritize in stressful situations, under deadlines, and with minimal supervision, and the recognition, sensitivity to and acceptance of the importance of confidentiality; and ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities dictated by the schedule and pace of a senior executive.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience serving as executive assistant is required. Supervisory experience is helpful. Experience working in an academic setting is strongly preferred.

Standard Work Days and Hours

This is an exempt position requiring time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete job requirements. Hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional work after 5:00 pm and/or weekends.
