Middlebury College seeks a Staff Accountant to perform timely and accurate transaction processing, account analysis, and reconciliations and schedules. The staff account will assist the tax department to ensure proper classification of payments to foreign nationals, assist with audits, and perform variance analysis and determine reasonableness of account balances. The ideal applicant will have two or more years accounting experience in a business environment (higher education or public accounting experience preferred) with significant interpersonal contacts requiring independent professional judgment; operations including enterprise financial systems, spreadsheet, and word processing. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
