Summary of Duties
Under the supervision of the Logistics Program manager, supports faculty, staff, and department operations by procuring, maintaining, delivering, fabricating, and assembling equipment, props, tools, facility needs, and supplies necessary for the continuation and progression of the Utah Fire & Rescue Academy and Emergency Services programs.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to three years. Technical or vocational degree may substitute for experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Must maintain a valid Driver License, welding skills, and ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Commercial Drivers License preferred CDL Class A or B.

Knowledge
Knowledge of equipment maintenance.

Knowledge of mechanical operations, standard repair procedures and techniques, and the transportation division.

Skills
Skills with managing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.

Skills in interpersonal communication.

Skills in problem-solving and decision-making.

Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate verbally, non-verbally, and in writing.

Ability to operate wire, arc, and oxyacetylene welders along with associated tools and materials used in fabrication.

Ability to maintain accurate records and files.

Working Conditions


Schedule
Monday thru Friday 8-5 pm.
Occasional weekends or evenings.
