Job Summary:
This position is part of the Billing and Collections (Accounts Receivable) team at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH). Under general supervision, this position is responsible for independently monitoring, administering and maintaining the integrity of all billing and collection functions for assigned accounts for the WSLH. The incumbent performs a wide range of Billing and Collection duties requiring good judgment and initiative in the preparation and processing of a variety of fiscal documents (billings, postings, reports, and collections). This position could include working with both clinical and non-clinical accounts and their subsequent billing requirements. Responsibilities also include responding to customer questions, posting payments, follow up and collection of past due accounts. Standard work hours are 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The pay ranges for this position are as follows:
Financial Specialist: $15.41 - $23.58
Financial Specialist - Senior: $18.02 - $27.58
