Postdoctoral Scholar

Percent of Time/Week:100% Service Schedule:Calendar Year

Position Description:

Assists with the direction and implementation of survey projects and program/project evaluations related to a variety of areas with a focus on education, public health and natural resources; pursues individual research in survey methods or disciplinary scholarship; conducts applied and methodological research (quantitative, qualitative or mixed-methods) in a highly collaborative setting; receives training and assists with grant and contract proposal writing for federal, state and private funding opportunities; receives training in responsible conduct of research and AAPOR TI requirements; attends Center for Social & Behavioral Research (CSBR) meetings and attend other departmental colloquia and or related events of interest; and trains and supervises master-and undergraduate-level students.

Education Requirements:

Doctoral degree in applied research methods, survey methods, psychology, sociology, demography, public health or related field required.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of both quantitative survey science; experience with qualitative methods; demonstrated knowledge of at least one statistical analysis package or program (R, SAS, SPSS) required. Student experience will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with program/project evaluation preferred.
