Job Summary:

The UW-Madison Libraries seek an innovative, enthusiastic, and service-oriented staff member to join a team of staff in providing access services and collections support that serve our science and engineering community. The Science and Engineering Libraries (SEL) in the General Library System are comprised of a collaborative network of seven libraries (Astronomy Library, Chemistry Library, Geology and Geophysics Library, Math Library, Physics Library, Steenbock Memorial Library, and Wendt Commons Library). This position will be based in Wendt Commons Library, but will participate on SEL-wide access services and collections support projects. This position will report to Anne Glorioso, a Science & Engineering Librarian on the Engineering Team.

This position is responsible for providing the following in a timely and accurate manner: 1) overseeing Wendt Commons Library circulation and access services and providing support and backup for other SEL locations; 2) participating in collections development and management for Wendt Commons Library print and electronic collections and providing support for SEL-wide collections development projects; 3) providing general reference services.
