About the Position
Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources and receiving work lead direction from the Workforce Planning Lead, the On Boarding Coordinator works under general supervision to manage the on boarding functions for new staff and management employees, as well as all position management and temporary and volunteer appointment processing, ensuring a streamlined process that is efficient and offers a positive experience for all parties. The On Boarding Coordinator is responsible for posting all staff and MPP vacancies, managing the advertising for all postings and closing/finalizing recruitments once positions are filled. In addition, the On Boarding Coordinator is responsible for communication with hiring managers, applicants, departments and other units inside HR as it relates to the On Boarding and position management processes.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree OR equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience with Recruiting and/or On Boarding processes
- Experience with PeopleSoft Human Resources
- Experience in a fast paced, deadline driven, high volume diverse work environment
- Experience preparing and presenting information to small groups
- Experience using spreadsheets
- Experience analyzing and auditing recruitment employee data
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of general HR practices.
- Knowledge of recruitment practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of position management principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic bookkeeping skills.
- Ability to learn and apply policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements independently.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver accurate, effective, and timely results in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively handle a broad range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those of a sensitive nature.
- Ability to handle confidential information and materials.
- Ability to follow established methods, procedures and timelines.
- Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to learn PeopleSoft.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
