Position Summary

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Bowdoin College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology to begin July 1, 2017. Teaching load is two courses per semester. Areas of specialization open. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and proven success as a teacher of undergraduates.

Bowdoin College accepts only electronic submissions. Please submit letter of application, C.V., evidence of excellence in teaching (e.g. teaching evaluations), and the names and contact information for three references who have agreed to provide letters of recommendation.
