Minimum $52,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Master's degree in library science (or its equivalent) from an ALA-accredited school and
JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of legal sources and strong legal research skills
Demonstrated awareness of current technology trends in law libraries
Enthusiasm, creativity, and ability to propose new projects and workflows
Knowledge of website architecture, design and accessibility
Teaching and presentation experience
Excellent written and interpersonal skills
Strong organization and analytical thinking skills
Ability to work on a team, act independently and know when to seek assistance.
Willingness to work occasional evening and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications:
One or more years of professional library reference experience
Academic law library experience
Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
Experience promoting library services
Experience teaching legal research or other course
Experience serving as a liaison to law faculty and/or staff

Position Summary:

The Reference and Technology Librarian (RTL) is responsible for promoting and implementing technology that will support faculty, students and staff at the University of Wisconsin Law School in their research and scholarship. The RTL shares reference and instructional duties with the other reference staff. Reports to the Head of Reference.

Additional Information:

Minimum salary is $52,000, but final negotiated pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
