Summary of Job Duties
The Arkansas Forest Resources Center in Monticello, AR is seeking to fill the position of Communications Manager. The successful candidate is expected to strategize, create and execute a unified communications plan for the Center. This will include development, management, and delivery of content for multiple platforms, visual/design work, media relations, pursuit of high news value story ideas from faculty and staff, and measurement of effectiveness of content and delivery.

B.S. or B.A. degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related discipline plus three years of related professional experience, including one year in a supervisory or managerial capacity is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Microsoft software applications.
Experience in the update and development of social media.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Must be able to create compelling copy, produce effective publications, and have excellent digital skills for still images, graphics, and video. A perceptive sense of digital marketing and assessment is required, as is the ability to manage and stay current with social media, web content, news and design trends. Self-direction as well as collaboration skills are critical to the success of this position, and the ability to successfully respond to constantly shifting priorities is essential. Must have the ability to travel, including overnight travel, a valid driver's license; and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
