Salary: $9.00 per hour
Please be advised this is a part-time, temporary position.
Job Summary: The Intramural Official controls games with officiating skills.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Receives training in all officiated sports offered by Campus Recreation. Provides officiating skills for Campus Recreation sports. Attends all Campus Recreation staff meetings throughout the year. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to be punctual and dependable to facilitate successful sporting activity.
- Ability to work nights and weekends and commit to work at least 2 shifts a week.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):
- Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
- Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
- Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
- Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
- This position may require work on nights and weekends.
