Job Summary | The College of Dentistry seeks an individual to provide support of University standard desktop applications; includes PC's, peripherals, software, hardware, and server administration. In turn, supports the academic, research, service, and administrative related College goals. This position will provide desktop usage support for all users of the College of Dentistry. This includes basic troubleshooting and educating users on properly maintaining their computers. Communicating with users is vital. This position will work with other departmental support personnel to provide optimum customer support. Other duties include install, repair, and make purchase recommendations for hardware and software; maintain network and evaluate the department's usage and needs for computer technology; and provide recommendations for facilitating increased efficiency and improved services. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Windows XP, MS Office, knowledge of network technologies, service oriented, excellent customer service, communication hardware and software installation, familiarity with Citrix environments and Oracle database, self-motivation. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Experience in IT infrastructure and desktop support at a clinical medical/dental college highly preferred. |
