Minimum $30,207 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required in population health/epidemiology, statistics/biostatistics, public health, psychology, communication, nursing, allied health, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

A minimum 2 years of experience directly supervising research projects and providing project management support, and 1 year of experience with data collection from human subjects (ideally in a health care, academic, psychological, or social services setting) is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level. Prefix assignment is determined by years of relevant work experience.

Experience preferred in the following areas:
1. Research study design and data collection
2. Survey design and administration, including web-based survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics or REDCap)
3. Database creation and management (e.g., MS Access, REDCap)
4. Dataset creation and management (e.g., Stata, SAS or SPSS)
5. Quantitative data analysis (e.g., Stata, SAS, or SPSS)
6. Management of undergraduate and graduate student researchers
7. Grant and progress report writing

Ideal candidates will have experience working with quantitative data throughout a project lifecycle. Candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, a quick learner, resilient, collaborate well with team members, write clearly and effectively, and have excellent problem-solving skills. Must be able to work effectively with study subjects, their families, physicians, clinic staff, faculty, trainees, and researchers.

Computer experience:
1. Must be highly fluent with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access). Endnote skills or other reference manager skills are preferred.
2. Experience with statistical or data management programs (Access, REDCap, Stata, SAS, etc.) is highly desirable.

Position Summary:

The PROKids Research team conducts health services and quality improvement research in clinic and hospital settings. This position will assist faculty and staff in implementing and supervising data collection and management for various research projects.

Additional Information:

Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings to accommodate research activities. Must be able to travel to clinical sites in Madison and beyond. Must provide own transportation or a valid driver's license and clean driving record (if fleet car usage is requested).
