Summary of Job Duties
The Director will provide hands-on leadership to manage and develop professional staff in the areas of recruitment and employee relations. This position will develop and implement effective talent acquisition and recruitment efforts and best practices in workforce management to foster diversity, engagement, and excellence for faculty and staff.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications

- Earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- At least six years of full-time, progressive experience managing or administering human resource programs in staffing, employment, and/or employee relations, including performance management
- At least three years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Earned graduate degree in human resource management or related field from an accredited institution
- Human resource management experience at an institution of higher education
- Professional certification: PHR , SPHR , SHRM -CP, or SHRM - SCP
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of human resources best practices, benchmarking, and HR systems
- Knowledge of federal and state human resources laws and regulations
- Knowledge of the unique characteristics of higher education human resources
- Strong interpersonal skills as exhibited by the ability to influence others, gather information from individuals and groups, and build collaborative relationships across the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and assimilate information and data for decision-making
- Ability to handle and manage confidential information
- Ability to promote inclusion and diversity at all levels of the organization
