Position Summary:

The successful candidate will serve as the Neuroimaging Research Center Administrator in the Division of Geriatrics, within the UW School of Medicine & Public Health (SMPH). The Neuroimaging Administrator will work closely with the administrator for the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) as well as the PIs associated with the ADRC and other faculty interested in using imaging studies and/or data in their research. The Administrator will be responsible for the overall outreach and administrative operations of the Neuroimaging Program in Geriatrics. This includes outreach and education to campus, national and International research partners, fulfilling federal reporting requirements, directing user group committees, budget and fiscal planning, protocol development for new imaging studies, and overall management of the Neuroimaging group.

The Administrator will work closely with the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute (WAI) and the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention (WRAP) study, which includes strong programs in both Madison and Milwaukee, and has a focus on increasing the participation of underrepresented groups. The Administrator will also serve as the point person for all neuroimaging research partnerships with other institutions, which currently include: Washington University (St. Louis), the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (UC San Diego, Penn, Mayo Clinic, UC Davis, UC Berkeley), the Alzheimer's Therapeutic Research Initiative (Keck School of Medicine, Univ. of Southern California), Medical College of Wisconsin, Boston Longitudinal Study on Aging, and the Australian Imaging, Biomarkers, and Lifestyle Study (Victoria, Australia). Through an SMPH partnership, the Administrator will also be responsible for continuing conversations with faculty from the Research Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Germany.

The ADRC currently has several million dollars in NIH funding for Neuroimaging research. The Administrator will be tasked with oversight of all related studies, informatics, collaborations, etc., to ensure consistency across the program and work with all collaborators to bolster the success of the program.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Associate Director of the ADRC, Dr. Sterling Johnson, the candidate will be expected to work with high degrees of independence and professionalism in maintaining and enhancing the highly successful Neuroimaging Research Center at UW-Madison.
