Position Description:
Plans, organizes, and directs the office of Academic Advising that serves undergraduate students with an emphasis on students in transition; provides leadership to promote and support academic advising at the University and assists in effecting new and revised institutional policy and procedures related to advising; administers and implements operations of University-wide academic advisement and educational planning for new student registration and advising programs; directs programming for and advises new students, and students in transition; directs, trains, and evaluates Academic Advising advisors; and supports and coordinates with offices serving the Follon Student Services Center.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree in higher education, college student personnel, counseling or related field required.
Required Qualifications:
At least five years experience in higher education with at least two years of administrative experience required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of student development theory and application required with teaching experience in a higher education setting preferred.
