4-H Youth Program Educator

Position Summary:
4-H Youth Development program seeks individual to work with 4-H staff, youth, adults, families, and community resources to develop, deliver and evaluate 4-H educational programs designed to teach life skills to children and families. Programs will include educational activities, contests, and camps in support of the 4-H program,with special emphasis on in-school and out-of-school programming. Work will include collaboration with the Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development, to provide training and management for volunteers. Must be willing to adhere to the Virginia Cooperative Extension Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Compliance Program.

Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and/or experience in working with children and adults in an educational setting. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other professionals and volunteers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to create educational and promotional materials. Intermediate computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the 4-H program desirable. Experience with Microsoft Word, Publisher and internet applications.
