Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Payroll and Benefits Supervisor for the Division of Facilities Planning & Management, this position is a member of a team responsible for advanced payroll, benefit and related functions of considerable difficulty for FP&M which consists of over 1,250 employees covered under the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan: 30 Academic Staff, 950 Classified Staff, 175 Limited Term Employees, and 100 Student Help employees, with multiple shifts covering both nights and weekends. Administer very complex and advanced individual benefit counseling services and process Workers' Compensation claims for employees of FP&M. The incumbent of this position must be able to interpret payroll policies and relate the interpretations to various levels in the payroll section of the FP&M Division. This position is entrusted to independently use good judgment when dealing with complex issues as they relate to the payroll and benefits programs in this large Division.
