Intellectual Property Counsel



INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COUNSEL, Office of the General Counsel (OGC), to support MIT's many activities that generate intellectual property rights and the licensing of such intellectual property. Will advise on critical matters of intellectual property law, policy, and enforcement; and craft and negotiate agreements related to intellectual property and other matters.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: expertise and experience in the areas described above, at least ten years' experience in a law practice, and admission to the Massachusetts' bar or to another state's bar and ability to promptly gain admission to the Massachusetts bar. Seek a highly versatile intellectual property lawyer with strong communication and diplomacy skills who demonstrates grounded judgment but highly flexible thinking. Must be able to perceive and explain to non-lawyers the practical application of law in complex situations; organize and manage multiple projects; and prioritize competing client needs in an often-changing, cutting-edge environment.
