Position Description:

Configures and manages network devices, supporting systems, and firewalls; provides monitoring, troubleshooting and response for systems; administers Network Management System (NMS) applications; and participates in campus network infrastructure planning and design.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field required.

Required Qualifications:

At least one year of cumulative experience in routing, switching, wireless network administration, or Windows and Linux system administration required. Student experience will be considered. On call hours to respond to service issues and outages will be necessary.

Desirable Qualifications:

Prior experience with networking; SNMP and scripting; Cisco ASA firewall configuration; and network management systems in a large LAN and WAN environment preferred.
