We are a community-based Human Services organization working with individuals that experience barriers to employment. We work with adults and youth focusing on vocational based activities such as: resume and application writing, interview skills training, job readiness, business development and job coaching. The company has grown from one person to a workforce of hundreds that serves thousands of adults and students annually. We are looking for our next Career Resource Specialist in the Weymouth/Quincy area. We have full-time positions open, flexible daytime hours.
HOW WE WORK
Our Career Resource Specialists (CRS) are the face of the organization; acting as a career consultant to the individuals that we serve and the business community. There are a couple different components to the CRS role:
- Business Developer Contacting employers in the community to identify job leads, and assist individuals with disabilities, at risk youth, and students in securing employment.
- Direct Support Providing direct support to individuals with disabilities to develop career goals, prepare for their job search, secure their job, coach the individuals as they learn the tasks and responsibilities of their positions, and facilitate communication between the individual and his/her employer.
- School/Youth Services Working with students, often with disabilities, in local school districts to provide career exploration, job coaching and direct support.
