Summary of Duties
Under the supervision of the Director of Web & Interactive Design, the Graphic Web Designer has responsibility for developing graphics, design, and multimedia used on the web, potentially including animation and video. Interprets needs, and determines solutions for the web including, motion graphics, design, UX/UI, and multimedia production. Implements solutions in coordinating with the Web Development department to code and program web sites.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelors degree and one year experience related to Class Definition or an associates degree with three years experience or any combination of education and experience totaling five years.

Preferred Qualifications


Knowledge
Knowledge of Web-based interactive technologies including HTML, CSS, and CMS.

Knowledge of image and graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects, and Dreamweaver.

Skills
Skills in web design typography, color, layout, graphics, and user interfacing.

Skills in communication both verbal and written.

Skills in Digital Publishing.

Abilities
Ability to learn new software applications quickly and easily with little or no supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to maintain currency in Web related technologies, procedures, and techniques.

Ability to be detail-oriented, self-motivated and accepting of feedback.

Working Conditions


Schedule
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, up to 28 hours per week.
