Brief Position Summary
Position Summary:

Prepares proper quantity of scheduled menu items according to food production sheets.
Ensures that food is properly and safely prepared, cooked and served. Must be flexible. Greets customers and helps achieve a very high level of customer service.

General Worker for the Snow Bowl Retail Food Cafe. This is a temporary position that requires weekend and holidays as well as weekday. Must be availible Christmas week and Presidents Day week.

Essential Functions:

* Preps and cooks items as the orders come in to the kitchen.
* Assists cook as necessary with other food preparation as instructed.
* Observes proper food storage and handling procedures to ensure fresh, deliverable product.
* Rotates inventory to maintain freshness.
* Cleans work areas, including counters, floors, dishes and related equipment and ensures they are in proper sanitary condition.
* Performs cashier duties.
* Directs customers toward desired food area; answers their questions courteously.
* Prepares vegetables, fruits, spreads and food items for use in prepared salads, and stocks items for the sandwich bar and grille areas.
* Ensures that vegetables are properly cut and stored to maintain freshness.
* Maintains a clean and sanitary work area and uses proper precautions to ensure fresh and clean product.
* Monitors drink station and dining room; refills and/or restocks as necessary
* Makes sandwiches as ordered.
* May deliver and set-up for catering functions, either at the dining location or for larger campus events (must be at least 18 years of age and have had a driver's license at least 3 years).

Education:

No formal education is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of meal/food preparation and cooking times, as well as safety/sanitation aspects of food service areas.

Experience:

Knowledge of meal/food preparation and cooking times, as well as safety/sanitation aspects of food service areas.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 25lbs. This requires much time standing and bending.
