About the Position
The Career Center promotes the development of SJSU students as professionals by providing tools to guide them in making career-planning decisions and education in developing and marketing their skills to employers.
Under the leadership of the Director, the Employer Engagement Program Coordinator works independently to engage, onboard, and support employers in leveraging virtual and live resources for recruiting at SJSU. Among the top responsibilities of this role are:
- Plan and execute outreach for employer development and services in collaboration with other employer engagement team members and associated with part-time and internship opportunities. Collaborate with career counselors to understand student needs for such positions.
- Perform employer onboarding to SJSU Career Center recruiting services to promote the range of Center services and encourage employers to post their positions in SpartaJobs, at a minimum.
- Administer employer accounts, recruiter contacts, and jobs in the career services database. Provide technical support associated with the employer engagement elements of the career services database to employers and the Career Center team as needed. Share relevant employment opportunities and events with the career counseling team.
- Leverage the career services system to survey/analyze/report employer needs, develop employer services, promote services to employers, and report key performance indicators for the employer engagement team.
- Coordinate delivery of essential employer services and events, including employer connection events and interviews
