Associate Vice President for Human Resources

The University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for the position of Associate Vice President for Human Resources. UT Arlington is one of the nation’s fastest growing public research universities with an enrollment of over 38,000 Texas-based students and a global degree seeking population that brings the total to over 52,000 in on-campus and on-line programs. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity that requires an innovative, highly driven HR professional who will focus on contemporary human resources delivery. The new Associate Vice President (AVP) will work closely at all levels within the organization and will assess and refine human resources strategies and practices that will focus on customer service and best practices. The AVP will foster an atmosphere of high performance and personal accountability and serve as a strategic and operational leader reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources (VPHR). The AVP will help position Human Resources as a valued strategic resource while also ensuring that all functions operate well.

 

REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 10 years of executive-level experience resulting in comprehensive knowledge of human resources operations, programs, technology, and service delivery in a complex, highly decentralized organizational setting is preferred. Candidates may come from diverse backgrounds which will include progressively responsible human resources leadership roles within higher education, for profit industry, healthcare, non-profit, consulting or some combination of all or some of the above. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business/Public Administration or a related field is required.
