Job Description
The Videographer/Editor works under the general direction of the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Responsible for all aspects of video production including meeting with constituents to determine their communications needs, developing concepts and script content, and filming and editing to produce videos that serve client needs and reinforce the FGCU brand to internal and external audiences.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in film studies, cinematography, communications or related field.
Four years of experience with digital technology and editing software (Avid, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro).

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in special effects, animation and motion graphics. Management experience.

•Must be familiar with lighting and sound recording techniques.
•Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.

Salary Range
$45,000 - $50,000

Job Duties

Essential Job Duties
•Meets with constituents to determine their communications needs and creates video productions telling their stories while remaining true to the overall FGCU brand.
•Responsible for video pre-production meetings, concept development, producing, script development, directing, filming, editing, and archiving.
•Consults with stakeholders from production to post-production of original, quality, and brand-specific marketing videos.
•Creates, develops, and guides the video concept, conducts interview questions, and creates storyboards.
•Determines camera equipment and schedules talent for video shoots.
•Transports, sets up, and operates cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production.
•Responsible for operating and maintaining proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio, video recorders, and other production equipment.
•Edits video and audio to ensure quality and convey the intended message to target audiences.
•Determines and develops titles, special effects, motion graphics and animation.
•Uploads video content on social media and websites.
•Establishes guidelines and maintains video archiving.

•Stays current on emerging and new digital trends, the latest in video equipment, and best practices in video production.
•Represents the department at meetings.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
