Postdoctoral Associate-Cognitive Neuroscience/Sensory

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team in affective cognition-emotion science as related to consumer insights on food and packaging. Interested applicants should have completed a PhD in psychology, sensory physiology, statistics, affective computing, food science (specifically sensory evaluation), or related field. The position begins as early as March, 2014. This is a one-year appointment with potential for renewal.
The Postdoctoral Associate's responsibilities will include participating in our advanced research in food and emotions, including: assistance in mentoring graduate and undergraduate research activities, data collection and evaluation in the sensory evaluation laboratory, contributing to/leading publications from studies, as well as contributing to development and submission of competitive proposals for additional funding.

Required Qualifications:
PhD in psychology, sensory physiology, statistics, affective computing, food science (specifically sensory evaluation), or related field.
Experience or interest in psycho-physiological methods ( EEG , ERP , ECG , fMRI) as well as physiological measures including galvanic skin response and/or experience integrated with advanced statistical techniques and the desire to acquire new quantitative skills is desired. Evidence of strong communications skills is needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research group, and demonstrated evidence of such abilities, is preferred.
Research expertise in measurement of emotion and/or executive function is preferred with interest in facial action coding.
