Tenure Track Position in Organizational Behavior

OPEN POSITION IN ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

The Management Department at the David Eccles School of Business of the University of Utah (http://www.business.utah.edu) seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior. While all ranks will be considered, an assistant professor is preferred.Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in organizational behavior or a related field, or show evidence they will be awarded their doctorates by August 1, 2010.

The Management Department includes both strategy and organizational behavior faculty. The organizational behavior faculty includes Bryan Bonner, Arthur Brief, Kristina Diekmann, Gerardo Okhuysen, Kristin Smith-Crowe, and Harris Sondak. While united by a concern with the psychology of organizational life, the group s interests are nevertheless quite varied and include ethical decision making in organizations, prejudice at work, negotiations, workplace justice, group decision making processes, the role of time in groups and organizations, self-defeating organizational behaviors, intra-group conflict, and the display of sexuality at work. This work is published in various top-tier outlets.

The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. This location offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation, including easy access to the Rocky Mountains, the red rock country of the Colorado Plateau, and eight national parks including Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Parks. Salt Lake City is the center of a metropolitan area with a population of approximately one million residents and has extensive arts and cultural activities and a major international airport.
