Job Description: The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with interest and expertise in Adult Health Nursing (medical-surgical nursing). Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating theory and clinical courses, which may include classroom/didactic instruction, laboratory instruction including simulations, health assessment, and demonstration and evaluation of fundamental and advanced clinical skills. This position may also involve the direct supervision of students in clinical settings requiring the delivery of direct patient care. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience in Adult Health Nursing.


Minimum Qualifications: Tenure track positions require a doctorate in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. Non-tenure track (fixed-term) positions require a Master's degree in Nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. Teaching experience and national specialty certification is preferred. Two years of clinical nursing experience is required.
