This is a temporary, full-time, nine-month position to begin August 2010.

Required Qualification: Earned Master's Degree (at time of appointment) with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in sociology and immediate ability to teach Introduction to Sociology.

Desired Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. or ABD; coursework or teaching experience in: marriage and family, and social problems; experience in alternative teaching methods or distance learning; commitment to being active in departmental initiatives; and commitment to the mission of the community college.

Conditions of Employment: This is a temporary, full-time, nine-month position to begin August 2010. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Flexibility in work schedule is necessary. Interest in serving a diverse student population is essential.
