Description:
This position is an integral part of the university s financial aid operations. Responsible for determining the financial aid eligibility of prospective and current students and assuring compliance with federal and institutional guidelines. Advises and counsels students, prospective students, parents, and colleagues regarding federal, state and institutional financial assistance programs.
Educational Requirements:
B.A. /B.S. required.
Minimum Requirements:
At least one year of experience in financial aid counseling in a large volume, multiprogram environment. Understanding of financial assistance programs as they relate to recruitment and retention of students required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Additional Information:
The purpose of this position is to determine financial aid eligibility and counsel undergraduate students and parents regarding the financial aid program. This position requires self-direction and minimal supervision.
