The web content manager is a full-time, salaried, administrative position responsible for contributing to the editorial and technical management of the university s website. The successful candidate will manage content on the university website and other electronic media (Facebook, Twitter etc), as well as serve as a help desk resource to the campus community. The web content manager must have excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills; strong project management and organizational skills; and a fluency in web communications conventions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing content for web publication; providing technical expertise in the university s content management system to users across campus; creating, editing, reviewing and approving web pages; and managing social media efforts.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor s degree in communications, English, journalism, public relations or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years experience in a professional communications setting. Experience working with a Web content management system and a background in social media preferred.
