Job Description: The East Carolina College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with interest and expertise in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. This position is advertised as open rank. Candidates may be considered for 9 or 12 month tenured, tenure track or fixed term appointments commensurate with education and experience. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching and evaluating theory and clinical courses that may include classroom/didactic instruction. This position involves the direct supervision or precepted experience of students in clinical settings. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing.


Minimum Qualifications: Tenure track positions require a doctorate in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. Fixed-term require a Master's degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. A valid non-restricted nursing license is required upon employment. Teaching experience and national specialty certification is preferred. Two years of clinical nursing experience is required.
