2010 Fall/ 2011 Spring Self Help Secondary Developer

Job Description: PURPOSE
As a secondary developer, provides general IT support to the Career Center for special projects. Assists the Associate Director with the maintenance and update of the Career Center website.

RESPONSIBILITIES
? Provides general IT support to the Career Center for special projects and multimedia installations.
? Conduct regular programming maintenance and updates to Career Center website.
? Assist Assistant/Associate Directors with special projects as needed.
? Assist students in computer lab with website navigation and use of online resources.
? Provide support for implementation of new technological resources.

All responsibilities are essential job functions.

PREFERRED UNDEGRADUATE OR GRADUATE STUDENT WITH FOLLOWING REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
? Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office XP/2007 software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access and Publisher).
? Knowledge of Internet/online research applications and general communication technology (email, phone, fax, etc.).
? Knowledge of database creation and maintenance
? Knowledge of SQL and HTML
? Knowledge of web design and programming
? Preferred knowledge of ASP, Java Script, VB Script, Coldfusion, CSS, Flash, Fireworks, and Photoshop 7+.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills.
? Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
? Superior organizational skills.


Minimum Qualifications: Pursuing bachelor's degree in CSCI, DSCI, or MIS and at least 2-4 years of IT or computer related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
