Job Description: Assist the Safety Division by assisting and performing a comprehensive ergonomic assessment for GUC office employees. Other responsibilities will include assisting Safety Office staff with scanning and indexing documents into our EDMS and other associated administrative duties.
Equipment Operated: Personal computer/laptop, scanner, printer, calculator, copier, light meter, fax machine, motor vehicle and other equipment as required.
Working Conditions: Work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, grasping and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to other accurately; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of machines and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Current enrollment and/or previous coursework in Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene/Human Factors/Industrial Engineering courses is preferred.
Experience: Previous safety assessment experience with some experience with ergonomics assessments is preferred. Must possess good people skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good communication, teamwork and customer relationship skills, knowledge of office processes and equipment or other relevant experience. Strong work ethic, enthusiastic collaborative and flexible. Understanding of ergonomic application and processes preferred.
