2010 Summer FWS Comm Service Admin Associate

Job Description: Nash County Senior Center - The employee will be involved in a variety of tasks involving customer service skills, clerical skills, computer skills, inventory management, marketing, and public relations. Acting as an assistant to the Senior Center Coordinator is the primary function of the job. Work is performed under the supervision of the Senior Center Coordinator and is reviewed through conferences, review of reports and records, and feedback from the citizens served.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
-Assist center staff and the Aging Leadership Planning Team in the final stages of applying for National Accreditation od the Nash County Senior Center
-Shadow the Senior Center Coordinator to gain exposure to the day to day operations of the facilty
-Conduct participant evaluations and assist staff in developing executive summaries for the evaluations defining how to use the information received
-Assist in maintaining the partcipant tracking system, ServTracker, by updating client informatio and adding new clients to the system
-Plan, develop, and execute an independent outcome based project


Minimum Qualifications: Considerable knowledge or various County programs and abilty to refer potential clients to appropriate agencies
-Ablity to identify other county departments and their functions as they relate to the Senior Center
-Abilty to establish and maintain proper working relationships with senior citizens, supervisors, and other employees
-Abilty to work with and demonstrate special interrest in the needs and desires of senior citizens
-Abilty to maintain program records and documentation
