Associate/Full Professor of Marketing

The University of Tennessee - Associate/Full Professor of Marketing. The University of Tennessee, College of Business Administration invites applications and nominations for a tenure track, Associate/Full Professor position in its Department of Marketing and Logistics. This person will be expected to have expertise in marketing and be willing to work effectively in a department that places significant emphasis on cross-functional interaction and integration. The applicant s research program should reflect ongoing leadership in the discipline and should demonstrate the potential to reinforce this cross-functional interaction and integration. Applicants should have an appreciation for the role of their research in enhancing the department s strength in demand and supply integration in a global context. Effective date of employment will be either August 1, 2011, or when filled. Qualifications: Required: Ph.D. degree in Marketing or related disciplines with qualifications to be appointed at rank of associate or full professor. Preferred: The ideal candidate will have full-time work experience with responsibilities related to marketing, the ability to work effectively as a contributing member of a faculty team, a scholarly research record as evidenced by publications in top-tier journals in the marketing field. Also preferred is an appreciation for the interaction between marketing and logistics as well as other business functions, an interest in teaching in interdisciplinary degree programs, and the ability to teach in traditional degree programs (undergraduate and MBA programs), with an interest in teaching in Ph.D. and/or non-degree executive education programs. Program Information: The Department of Marketing and Logistics is positioned within the College of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee. The Department has a vision of Demand/Supply Integration that integrates the mission and objectives of its programs in Marketing and Logistics within the College-wide context of Integrated Value Chain Management. The Department enjoys a strong and meaningful position within the College, and faculty members are active participants in College-wide programs and priorities. The University of Tennessee s programs in both Marketing and Logistics have been ranked highly in national surveys.
