This position is in the Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement Program. The starting annual salary for the selected applicant that isNOTcurrently a State of Florida employee will be$26,540.40.THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.The starting annual salary for the selected applicant that is a current State of Florida employee will be governed by the current Child Support Enforcement rate policy, but will be at least$26,540.40.

DESCRIPTION



The Child Support Enforcement (CSE) unit is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures of the CSE Program in an assigned geographical area in accordance with Florida Statutes and Title IV-D of the Social Security Act as promulgated by CSE regulations and instructions. The employee assigned to this position is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

EXAMPLES OF WORK

Utilize effective interviewing skills to gather data form Custodial and Non-Custodial parents relative to their mailing and residential whereabouts, employment, and assets. Gather information necessary to take enforcement action and general case information from Custodial Parents. Negotiate written agreements and payment plans with Non-custodial Parents for repayment of past due support. Update appropriate CAMS/Florida screens and initiate any necessary follow up activity.

Retrieve messages from the Driver License Hotline and returns telephone calls within 48 to 72 hours. Negotiate written agreements and payment plans with Non-Custodial parents for repayment of past due support. Update appropriate CAMS and FLORIDA and initiate any necessary follow up activity.

Maintain a thorough operating knowledge of the FLORIDA and CAMS computer systems and other computer software systems necessary for the completion of tasks. Accurately maintain case record data including demographic, fiscal, and enforcement information.

Interact with external agencies including but not limited to Clerk of Court, Central Governmental Depository, Sheriff's Department, Public Assistance offices, as well as other state agencies in a professional manner in order to verify information, resolve any discrepancies, or take appropriate enforcement action.

Expedite all requests by immediate manager identified as a priority from the Client Relations Coordinator, RAII, Taxpayer's Rights Office, or CSEPO as requested. Provide feedback to immediate manager when such requests are completed.

Participate in regularly scheduled conferences with the immediate manager, team meetings, and training sessions. Review policy memoranda, clearances, and email.

Perform all other related duties as required, including but not limited to assisting other teams.

REQUIREMENTS

* Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with external agencies

* Experience using word processing and spreadsheet applications in a work environment

* Experience performing mathematical calculations in a work environment

* Experience reviewing, explaining, and enforcing policy and procedure

* Experience in timemanagement, planning, and coordinating work assignments

The ability to speak, read, and write the Spanish and English languages fluently is considered a plus.
