Comptroller

Position Title: Comptroller

Description: This administrative position reports to the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs and will be responsible for planning, organizing, receipting and disbursing of federal, state, and institutional funds, preparing payrolls, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. This position is responsible for supervising and managing the accounting, billing, cash investments, and maintaining the general accounting system in accordance with the University System of Georgia accounting procedures. This position also assists with the college-wide budget preparation including the activities of cost analysis and expense forecasting.

Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor s degree in a business area with an MBA or other advanced degree in a business related field is preferred. Experience in governmental accounting, successful supervisory/managerial experience in fiscal operations, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with various groups are essential qualifications. A basic knowledge of the BANNER student records system and the PeopleSoft financial system preferred.
