Faculty Position
Department of Biology and Health Sciences

Lourdes College, a private, four-year liberal arts college, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, invites applicants for a faculty position in the Environmental Science program in its Department of Biology and Health Sciences beginning in the Fall 2010 semester. This is a full-time, nine-month, non tenure track position. Academic rank will be determined based on review of qualifications.

In addition to the teaching responsibilities (9 credit hours per semester), the faculty member will devote 25% of their time to develop the Environmental Science program. A Ph.D in Environmental Science or a related field is required, and the ability to teach courses in additional cognate areas will be preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in grant writing, an interest/experience in sustainability issues, a commitment to service, and demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching.
