Qualifications: The successful candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, or closely related field of study, with a specific focus in criminal/juvenile justice and/or criminology, corrections/offender rehabilitation, and prior teaching experience. ABDs with a completion date prior to appointment will be considered. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) alone will not fulfill the minimum educational requirement for this position. A history of research and publications is desirable as is a commitment to meet the scholarly requirements of the division. As WestConn is a dynamic, diverse workplace, the proven ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is highly valued, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
