Western Connecticut State Universitys Ancell School of Business is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for Assistant Professor positions in the Division of Justice and Law Administration (JLA). The positions, which are one year contracts and contingent on available funding, are in our Justice and Law Administration degree program with a focus in our Law Enforcement, Criminology and Corrections/Offender Rehabilitation concentration.

Qualifications: The successful candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, or closely related field of study, with a specific focus in criminal/juvenile justice and/or criminology, corrections/offender rehabilitation, and prior teaching experience. ABDs with a completion date prior to appointment will be considered. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) alone will not fulfill the minimum educational requirement for this position. A history of research and publications is desirable as is a commitment to meet the scholarly requirements of the division. As WestConn is a dynamic, diverse workplace, the proven ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is highly valued, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
