ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
North Carolina State University seeks a strategic and results-oriented leader who will be responsible for providing vision, leadership and management for the alumni relations program and ensuring that the alumni association is recognized as a leader among peers in alumni relations best practices. The position provides direct strategic, programmatic and fiscal leadership for membership and programs, communications and marketing (including the alumni magazine), data management, facilities, and the endowed Caldwell Fellows program. The Associate Vice Chancellor will also strive to optimize the engagement of alumni and friends of the University and to ensure the long-term viability of the Alumni Association and its programs. The position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, and as Executive Director, to the Alumni Association Board of Directors. The Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association offices are located in the newly constructed Park Alumni Center.
A bachelors degree is required as well as passion for NC State University and demonstrated executive leadership experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and management. Strong preference will be afforded to candidates with ten (10) years of progressive relevant experience, with at least a five-year successful track record in executive management; experience in higher education and alumni relations; and knowledge and familiarity with NC State University.
