Queens University of Charlotte invites applications
and nominations for the position of Vice President for
Academic Affairs.

Founded in 1857, Queens is a private, co-ed, Presbyterian-
affiliated comprehensive university with a commitment to
both liberal arts and professional studies. Located in the
heart of historic Charlotte, Queens serves approximately
2,500 undergraduate and graduate students through
its College of Arts and Sciences, the McColl School
of Business, the Presbyterian School of Nursing, the
Wayland H. Cato, Jr. School of Education, the School of
Communication and Hayworth College for Adult Studies.

Serving as the chief academic officer for the University,
this position is responsible for leading the Academic
Affairs team in the planning, development, coordination,
review, and administration of undergraduate and graduate
programs, as well as all other aspects of academic life at
Queens. Reporting to the President, the Vice President
for Academic Affairs serves as the primary representative
and advocate for the faculty within the administration and
is the ranking university officer who acts in the absence of
the President. S/he is a member of the Senior Leadership
team and a liaison to the Board of Trustees.

The successful candidate will have an earned terminal
degree, proven managerial and administrative experience,
the qualifications necessary for appointment as a tenured
full professor, and a finely tuned set of communication
skills as well as being flexible, energetic, creative, and
results oriented.
