Choral Activities Department
Position: DIRECTOR OF CHORAL ACTIVITIES
Rank/Salary: Associate or Full Professor tenure track appointment in the Choral Activities department. Salary is commensurate with qualifications/
experience.
Qualifications: The candidate must be an accomplished teacher, skilled musician, and experienced choral conductor. An exemplary record of teaching choral music and teaching and directing choirs at the university level is expected. The candidate must demonstrate exemplary conducting abilities and a current knowledge of choral methods. A significant record of creative activity is required.
Responsibilities: Serve as Chair of the Choral Activities department, direct the university's top choral ensembles, teach graduate and undergraduate choral methods and conducting and graduate courses related to the candidates expertise; create and maintain partner relationships with area schools and teachers to facilitate recruitment; advise students; direct graduate research/creativity; maintain visible profile and active program of scholarly and creative activities; engage in appropriate service to the College and University.
