Director of University Scholars
The George Mason University, Provost's Office is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the University Scholars Program, the university's premier program for high-achieving students.
Responsibilities consist of managing all aspects of the program including recruitment, teaching, academic advising, and developing and coordinating cocurricular activities and other scholar programs. The Director will be part of the Honors College staff and will help in the facilitation of Honors College initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred); minimum of three years in educational administration with teaching and supervisory experience; experience managing programs for gifted undergraduates and demonstrated knowledge of their educational, career and personal needs; experience in academic advising; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; and familiarity with information technology.
