Job Summary: Provide leadership for and management of a comprehensive program of institutional research and effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide leadership for and management of a comprehensive program of institutional research and effectiveness.
Plan, implement, and provide oversight for all areas of institutional research, including the generation of institutional data for internal and external constituencies.
Design, develop, analyze, and interpret research studies.
Collect, analyze and distribute data relevant for planning, decision-making, and policy formation.
Utilize research and survey methodologies, validate data accuracy, and publish reports.
Disseminate information and write reports to advance institutional effectiveness and strategic planning.
Respond to and prioritize data and analysis requests from members of college community.
Provide data support for assessment of student learning and program review.
Provide data support for grant submissions.
Provide data support and analysis for generation of Key Performance Indicators and other college reporting, as well as ICCB, IBHE, and other local, state, and federal reporting.
Provide leadership and represent the college in local and state research initiatives.
Prepare (with members of the College Leadership Team) presentations to the Board of Trustees and other groups on key performance indicators and other measures of institutional effectiveness, tailoring the presentation of research findings to the needs of various constituencies.

Qualifications: Master's degree in higher education administration, public administration, institutional research, or a related area; Ph.D. preferred. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in research in institutional planning, research design and evaluation, and data collection and analysis is required. Minimum 3-5 years experience in higher education required. Minimum of 2 years experience in successful supervision of staff. Familiarity with requirements from local, state, and federal reporting. Familiarity with assessment and program review processes. Working knowledge of computer applications, including statistical packages, data retrieval programs, data processing, word processing, online research, and basic web development. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report preparation, and customer service orientation. Demonstrable knowledge of research methodologies, standards and ethics, and critical thinking skills. Organizational skills and presentation skills.
