The Director of Admissions and Registrar position has two major functions. First, as University Registrar, the primary function will be to act as the manager and steward of all official collegiate academic records and to ensure the integrity and security of all related documents. Also in that particular role the incumbent will be responsible for providing data and analysis concerning educational policies, curriculum, academic performance, and strategy planning. Secondly, to supervise and oversee all admission processing and transfer credit evaluations.
Specific duties will include: Provide leadership and vision for the admissions processing, registration, academic records, and student information system units, ensuring a seamless enrollment process; Work in close collaboration with the provost's office, student finance, academic advising, faculty, and academic deans in supporting the enrollment of new students; Coordinate strategy, services, activities, and projects with the directors of enrollment, recruitment, and other members of the E & SS unit; In conjunction with the provost's area and other administrative units of the university act as a resource for matters related to curriculum, academic standards, interpretation of transfer credit, graduation audits, transfer credit evaluation, and academic performance; Assist in university wide ERP development via the Banner & Information Systems Group; Serve as the university FERPA resource & compliance officer as well as ensure the physical integrity, accuracy and security of all official academic records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in relevant field; A minimum of five years of tangible experience as an admissions and/or records officer. Strong management and communication skills. The ability to coordinate and facilitate the intricacies of a comprehensive admissions and records organization. A clear understanding of the impact of the admission and records operation upon the university's enrollment objectives and overall strategic goals.
