The College of Communication at DePaul University seeks a full-time faculty member for a renewable one-year appointment beginning July 2010. The faculty member will teach courses in the College's undergraduate and graduate programs in Public Relations and Advertising or Journalism with an emphasis on Latino markets, help foster ongoing dialogue with Chicago-area industry and professional communities, and support developing curriculum in Latino Media and Communication across the college. Ideal candidates will possess a Master's degree and either a Ph.D. in Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, (or related field), Journalism, or at least five years of industry experience, particularly in Latino markets, with proven ability to sustain professional community connections. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses in the public relations and advertising or journalism curriculum. These might include such courses as Consumer Insights for Latino Markets, Latino Strategic Communication Campaigns, Latino Marketing Communication, Social Media Delivery of News to Latino Markets, Covering the Latino Community, or related areas.
